Pumps & Operating Systems
The most important aspect of any pump-out arrangement is the pump itself and several factors will determine which one should be selected. These are:
- Total load that the pump has to overcome
- Suction length and height/route of pipework
- Discharge length, height, and route of discharge pipework
- Frequency of pump out
Consideration also needs to be given to how long it will take to pump out each vessel’s tank.
